Good morning and welcome to a new week! We had a lovely weekend weather-wise and the hubby and I were able to get out and enjoy some of it yesterday. It was wonderful to be outside sans the jacket soaking up a bit of warm sunshine.

Today I’ll be sharing a few cards that I did using the set Branch Out. I must not be the only one who thinks this set was pretty awesome because Stampin’ Up!  introduced a new set this year that is awfully similar!

Pardon the wintery feel of my first card but I made these while I was at my February retreat and we still had snow on the ground back then!

My first card is a somber mix of black, ivory and gray, My base card is Basic Black layered on a panel of Stardreams Malachite.
The Stamped panel was done in Basic Black for the tree, Real Red for the little cardinal and sentiment and Encore Silver for the snowflakes. The panel is layered on a piece of Basic Black then again on Stardreams Malachite and tied with some ivory and black ribbom. I finished it off with a trio of black candy dots in the corner.

My second card today has a more Autumn feel to it.
i stamped the tree four times across the plain white card front then followed with brush strokes of grass from Work of Art. (Another fun set to work with!!)
Next I gave all the trees a liberal dose of “leaves” in Pumpkin Pie, Kiwi Kiss, and Cherry Cobbler then finished the card with a popped up strip of white and a typewriter-style birthday greeting. This was an extremely simple card to put together but it packs quite a punch wouldn’t you say?

My final card to day is a sympathy card.
I started with a Kiwi Kiss card base and folder embossed half of the front of the card with the Decorative Dots folder, I followed with a panel of Cherry Cobbler that I folder embossed as well using a chicken wire folder.
The tree was stamped on a panel of ivory with Basic Brown and Kiwi Kiss. I rounded the top corners of the stamped panel then layered it on So Saffron and tied it with a piece of narrow Old Olive ribbon. The sentiment was stamped, punched and layered on dimensionals over the ribbon.
