Good morning!

First off, let me just say that I had a fabulous weekend and I have two wonderful friends to thank for that. Saturday, I spent the day with my BFF Twyla at the Bachmann Spring Idea house. We do this every year and it’s so much fun. Plus a girl day with Twyla is always a treat…even before we stop into Patrick’s for a little bistro-style lunch and desserts to DIE FOR!

I followed all that fun with a stamping play day with my stamping mentor Alvina.  It’s not too often that we get a chance to do that, so this was a nice treat as well.

This week I am sharing cards done with the set Everything Eleanor.  I have a soft spot in my heart for this one because my mother’s middle name was Eleanor so whenever I use it, I think of her. It’s so pretty and lots of fun to work with. Of course I have a weakness for swirls and flowers anyway, so it is easy for me to dive right in on this one.


My first card today starts with a Crumb Cake card base layered with a panel of Not Quite Navy. The stamped panel is ivory and is stamped with Not Quite Navy ink then layered over the NQN panel.
I stamped the flower is done with Crumb Cake ink on a separate piece of ivory, hand trimmed it and added it to the swirl with a foam dimensional.
The sentiment which I picked up at Michaels a while back in their dollar section was stamped with Not Quite Navy and layered on the same and adhered with dimensionals over the top of a layered chevron-cut strip. The latter is a strip of DP from My Sentiments Exactly’s Indie Chic Citron collection.

My second card has ladies birthday or wedding written all over it. I pulled out a couple of different embossing folders to compliment the pretty flowers and pearl swirls that I had in mind when I started this one plus a scallop edge punch to give it a bit of a lacy look. My card base is a half sheet cut lengthwise, of Chocolate Chip. I layered it on a panel of Pistachio Pudding. the panels are either 2 or 3 layers deep of ivory, Pistachio Pudding , and Chocolate Chip and the leaves are Pistachio Pudding as well. I folder-embossed both ivory panels then stamped the flowers on a separate piece of ivory, hand trimmed each one and set them in place with dimensionals and the leaves tucked behind. The little sentiment flag came next followed by the pearl swirls.

My last card today is a CASE of one that I found on Pinterest by qulterlin. Feel free to check out the original at: I made mine just slightly different but her layout was so lovely, I really didn’t want to fiddle with that too much. My card base is Crumb Cake. I stamped the swirl in Craft White and the label and sentiment on white. The label was popped up on dimensionals with a soft organdy flower attached with a glue dot and the sentiment was die cut and layered using Spellbinders hearts and scallop hearts dies. Another dimensional was used to adhere it to the card and I gave the whole thing a dusting of pearls to accent the swirl. Really a quick and easy card despite how it looks
