Wedding Orders – Terms & Conditions:

Your wedding is such a personal and exciting event in your life and I want your invitations to be as perfect as your special day. For that reason, I have a few terms and conditions for custom wedding announcement orders that will ensure that the entire process goes smoothly.   • Placing your Order
    • Please complete the Custom Order form in full. Providing complete information now is very important in the timely processing of your order. Make sure to review your information for accuracy.*

*Note: the final proofing process will include a detailed review of your information

  • Lead Time
    • Due to assembly time requirements, all orders must be placed a minimum of 14 weeks prior to your wedding. This will allow for proofing, assembly and shipping and will give you the lead time (traditionally 6 weeks) you need to mail them to your guests.
  • Proofing Process
    • Because we both want everything to be perfect on your order, the proofing process includes an in-depth review of all of the details provided in the initial order.
      • I will review the information that I was given in your initial order, however the final responsibility for accuracy does fall to you. I will assist you in any way that I can, however any errors in the spelling of names, locations, dates etc. found after I have completed the printing process of your order will incur an additional charge equal to 20% of your order total.
  • Payment
    • Pre-payment is required on all wedding orders.  I will invoice you via Paypal for your order once the final proofing process has been completed. Payment must be received within 1 week of invoicing. Creation of your order will not begin until payment is received and has cleared my Paypal account.
  • Cancellation of Your Order
    • Custom order cancellations must be received within 10 days of the payment of the invoice for a full refund. Cancellation requests that are received after the 10th day are subject to a 10% penalty unless production has not been started.

Returns (Etsy Store Products only):

I want you to be happy with the products that you purchase from 5inkyfingers on Etsy.  Please email me within 30 days of your ship date and we will discuss the situation and the available options.
Please understand that given the hand-crafted nature of my products, some small differences between the products pictured on the website and the actual item you receive may occur. Because of this, my returns policy and process are fairly stringent. I would expect that my customers be willing to work with me to resolve problems in a manner that is fair to both of us.

If the return is due to an error I made I will make the corrections needed.

If it is simply an item you don’t want, it will be your responsibility to return the item at your cost for a refund or exchange.  However, you must first have authorization – please contact me by email at 5inkyfingers@gmail.com prior to returning the item.  The items must be returned in the original packaging unaltered and/or tampered with and in resalable condition.  All requests must be made within 30 days of receipt of merchandise.  Any and all damages not reported prior to requesting authorization for a return will be the purchaser’s responsibility and may be subtracted from the total refund amount.  Please ship the authorized item(s) with proper packaging to ensure the integrity of the items enclosed. I make every attempt to package my products in a manner that will ensure they are not damaged in shipment however, due to my inability to control what happens to your package after it is shipped,  5inkyfingers is not liable for any damages and/or losses in transit to or from my shipping location.

Please include a detailed summary inside the package or copy of email correspondence regarding the authorization, and include your invoice number and reason for return.

Due to the personalized nature of custom wedding announcements and their coordinating components (RSVP and Thank You cards), returns are not allowed for these items.
